I wonder if barbour wax (or y'know offbrand stuff that isn't mad pricy) would waterproof a genuine shellsuit top...

I'm the kin of person who has unironically re-waxed a barbour jacket and tbh it doesn't feel like it makes any difference

You'd probably get better results with that stuff you add to the washing machine to re-proof your rain jackets after you stupidly wash them with regular detergent (me stupidly). Only like 10 quid a bottle
