Definitely something moving here. The real question is how do you keep it this way as the network grows bigger.

Unique daily posting users have grown for a week. Yesterday, bluesky had a huge spike. Folks feel welcomed here and then harassed when they share it in X. Tons of stories of people surprised others are showing honest interest in what they share. They're staying. And they're telling others to join 🦋

Same question. Bsky is supposed to bring some premium features. I hope they're good enough (business-wise) to be able to handle all the upcoming traffics.

I’m more than happy to pay a reasonable amount to help keep this running as it is. So far is super nice. I didn’t want to be part of X since it became a cesspool of trolls owned by the ketamine clown king.

Totally agreed. Considering this service itself remains free for everyone, which premium feature would you be willing to pay to support blue sky?

Honestly, for me, a supporter badge. That’s it. No extra reach or preference in feeds, since that would create an imbalance with people that may not be able to pay (I don’t like pay-to-win video games, for example). But even tho I wouldn’t need it, maybe some good analytics, for marketing folks.

We discussed about this yesterday here bsky.app/profile/pata...

For new folks wondering about a future ads-ridden future for this place. The last hints that the @bsky.app team gave about their future plans is that they want to avoid the ads route, and instead try a paid subscription model. But that paying won't get you more reach. I would happily support them.

As they're not going to put ads and give us total control over our feeds, there must be something for "power users" which isn't about more reach, or anything like that. High-res videos is one thing, but what else? 🤔 @frankdilo.com might have some ideas? :)

They might go the Discord route apparently bsky.app/profile/pata...
