frank.computerAnnouncing: Skeleton 🩻, the culminating project of my PhD!My final research project looked at the barriers that sighted practitioners face when authoring non-visual data experiences. We co-designed, built tooling, built a UI prototype, and ran a study.
We explore our questions through 2 years of co-design, co-development, tool-making, and prototype building. We also have a study with some really neat findings, too.

I have a pre-print of the paper out, as well as a blog post that details what we've been up to. Our research prototype is also open source. Looking forward to attending VIS, giving a talk on this, and having all sorts of discussion about it!

Also MASSIVE appreciation and thanks for my co-authors, Chieri Nnadozie, Lucas Nadolskis, Patrick Carrington, and @domoritz.de for helping this project come to life. Huge thanks to all of our collaborators, participants, and the many people who have given me advice on this project over the years. ❤️
