My Roku TV is a complete POS. What a horrid puchase! Its the only streaming product that regularly asks me to re-authenticate all my channels - like every few weeks! I eventually wiped the thing and plugged in a firestick which I still use to this day. Never again will I ever buy a Roku anything!

In some ways yes, but you can avoid Google play services and just use "tv" features and use f-droid to load apps.

We are exploring alternatives to Roku. Not all options are ideal. Might be getting another Amazon firestick. But Bezos.
