I first put learnyousomeerlang.com online in 2009, while I was still working my first PHP job. Today, 17 years later, I’ve had to take it down for maintenance for the first time while awaiting a PHP security patch. It uses it for variable substitution in links and establishing cross-chapter links.

Thank you BTW, that site got me into Erlang.

Seventeen years before the first forced downtime is a good run. I have come to believe the thinnest part of a stack ages worst, since a runtime used only for link substitution still brings every security patch of the whole language with it.
