"Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron .. agreed that freedom of expression does not mean freedom to spread lies, prejudices and insults." I quit FB a long time ago & it was awful then (disinfo & stalkers), before META. Can't even imagine what its like now.

Worst kind of nerds...every engineer I've ever met who gets his hands on a hammer sees nothing but nails. he doesn't even know what kind of hammer he's holding or the fact that 28463 other types of hammers exist, let alone other tools. He wants to be feared & respected bc he's HAMMER MAN! Fkn losers

Apparently X getting all but getting kicked out of Brazil for interfering with it's elections wasn't clear enough to the Tech Giants that they do not have superpowers over all the sovereign nations of the planet. Not clear enough indeed.

Hopefully, Brazil stands up and says it's not right to dump fact checkers just in the US for an incoming president cause Zuckerberg has said the EU will keep its fact-checking dept

Bc they want global control to b able to destroy any1 that doesn't align w/ their goals while being able to push for those who do. Governments r pushing for actions that challenges business strategies (apple with USB C), they wanna be sure that they have the power to stop those via misinformation

For tech moguls, wealth alone is not enough. Hubris and the pursuit of political influence, combined with a limited understanding of civil society and a lack of accountability, may ultimately lead to their downfall.

I'm laughing my ass off about this. Remembering Elon's attempt to thumb his nose at Brazil's Supreme Court. Basically, I'm just going to make some popcorn and watch it play out. I downloaded my photos from FB in preparation of deleting me from there.
