I FIRMLY believe the doodle trend can be laid largely at the feet of straight husbands who refused to get an *actual standard poodle* because “they’re dogs for girls.”

actually, the #1 minor thing I'm a huge snob about..... doodle-type dogs sorry, folks, i have to say my truth and my truth is that I file "knowingly obtaining a mini-merle-phantom-bernedoodle" away in my head with "people who only vacation at Disney World"

they don’t shed and generally understand to be gentler with kids. aside from status that’s the main draw in brooklyn david frigging cross even has a doodle now

Many do shed and they’re not hypoallergenic though - the issue with crossing poodles with breeds with other coat types is you really can’t predict what you’ll get. www.doodletrust.com/education/do...

and even the ones who genuinely don’t shed get pretty dirty pretty fast and have to be bathed every couple weeks if not weekly
