I put up with the ads. Voting and deciding is more then what a ad says. It's actually paying attention to what politicians are doing besides what they are saying. If they aren't doing what they said they be doing then get rid of them and you keep doing until they start doing wjat the people want.

Politics is a series of magic words that parties scream at the public, and winning is based on a combination of which magic words you pick and how loudly you scream them

(then again, elected political parties are mostly publically funded, making political ads even more superfluous in e g most of western europe)

You can just watch your teenage son get cannon foddered on the battlefield instead. Swings and roundabouts I guess.

Or you can make them illegal like we did in France. They serve no purpose but make the wealthier gain vote.
