Also, regarding the whole female inferiority thing... Now, Aristoteles probably was particularly misogynistic even in his context, but you could call it an empirical claim: he doesn't see great female generals or philosophers, and the counterargument is rather theory-driven (e.g. critical theory).

(Not that his belief in female inferiority is theory-independent: it smuggles in one according to which you WOULD see great female generals were they equal to men, but now we're evaluating multiple theories generating the same evidence... well past counting teeth in epistemological sophistication)
