There's a point where it stops being "playing politics" and becomes "you just hate transgender people." This would be it.

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

I think the "no men in women's sports" position is BS too, and the politicians who pull that card are weak campaigners, but I grew up gay in the 90s and 2000s, so I understand the whole "vote for Democrats because the Republicans are objectively worse." This? Really hard to make that argument.
