🌍 | It's been a shocking year for the Cotswold Green Party. At the start of the year they had 2 councillors, both who've since caused by-elections: The Rissingtons, 5.5% (-51.7) - LDM GAIN Blockley, 6.9% (-49.5) - CON GAIN

No surprise here this seat is beyond affluent/'true blue'. The shocking thing is the Greens won it in the first place, and never had much of a presence here. Yes, I created an account to post this loving your work for years EM.

Green vote collapsing both in polls and by-elections . Surely if Polanski fails to win in Holborn & St Pancras, particularly now the hard left Fernstein has very helpfully stood aside for him, he will be ousted as Leader ? #R4today

reform councillors have been dropping like flies, greens have won many more councillors from labour, but that doesnt get a specific post, strange that. but a left wing party losing in right wing areas is the story of the week? whats the chance of seeing a "politics uk" style reveal for election maps

Ah yes, the famously right-wing Cotswold DC that's under *checks notes* majority LDM control. One party amassing (-50%) in two by-elections for the same council is pretty noteworthy.

well i mean looking at ed davey's attempt to faragify the libdems views on immigration i dont even think he knows where his party is aligned... But fine, majority controlled council of labour suck ups or farage sucklers, and a right wing onservative stronghold. if you like that more

Has it though? Last time out if was Green or a historically unpopular Conservative party candidate, and they just edged. Isn't this just a return to normality? I'd politely suggest you provide this kind of context, before folk start saying you've got an agenda?

Why are you attacking the Greens? They've lost 2 councillors in this council yet you post about it. You don't do the same for other parties. Recent post suggests you're a Labour member? Please keep this account politically neutral!

Or maybe not now. Elections are back on for next May for the same council area The whole thing is a complete mess and no idea how Labour plan to give the power to devolved mayor's works were there are no elected mayor's or county councils split into pieces

There's no attack here just pointing out facts. Both councillors lost with huge collapses in vote share. It seems Polanski has scared off the middle class rural voters.

It is an attack, or at least a negative news post about the Greens. Labour have lost tons of by-elections this year but ElectionMapsUK haven't made comments about how terrible things have been for Labour. Or when other parties have lost by-elections. This account had been politically neutral.

It was an observation on the Cotswold Green Party in particular. I don't think it's an 'attack' to point out a local party lost 100% of their seats and 90% of their voters in by-elections. For balance, here's a graphic I posted last year pointing out Labour's terrible seat retention at the time.

tbqhwy this feels like when people whine the free service they're providing isn't good enough and they should do x y or z—their account to do with as they see fit. Also, give them a break—they have to go to conference and pretend there's more to the party than Morrissey quotes and bread enthusiasm.

Up until today I've followed your posts, taking all the gains and losses as they come, from what I thought to be a politically neutral service. Today, however, I see that you have a political agenda, and are using your platform to undermine parties you disagree with. Unfollowing.
