it sounds simple but that basically is all we need. the whole private system is backstopped by public dollars and regulations in hundreds of ways, it's obscenely inefficient and it doesn't even cover everyone bsky.app/profile/equi...

I don't want to vanish into the Dunning-Kruger mists too hard here but I think you'll need some kind of rural healthcare monitoring mechanism too. If everybody takes Medicare now and you don't necessarily make it back in volume, maybe the feds spot you the rest.
