It takes me a couple weeks to finish a book. It takes my wife about two days. She's patient (enough) to wait until I'm done to talk about what we read.

Same. And my wife also remembers the story and characters better, catching nuance and specifics I miss. I can hear my kindle sigh when recalculates the reading speed. Kindle: 4 hours and 20 minutes left. Kindle later: 5 hours and 35 minutes left. Kindle even later: Sigh. Yawn. Maybe never...
