My take in DM to the helpful tipper who sent it.

Brace for more bitter and disappointed experiences from people who went to GSFTW, even after being warned. Here's another one who had already got info from me personally in a group that discouraged warnings for being drama.

I got sent these in DM. 10 tables for 8, with 5 of them having a single person sitting alone, all looking at their phones.

A tipper sent a photo of a banner from GSFTW that appears to be AI generated. The wrong hands! The weird melty flower morphing into fur on one side. Half formed ear folds. The distorted faces on tokens with one glued to fur for some reason. The inscrutable table art.

Recent posts by Sotalo and nazifurs that they decided not to attend GSFTW are false. They're attending. How dizzy does this flip-flopping make Sotalo? Was that trolling, a fake PR scheme with GSFTW management, or just acting as flaky as everyone running this con has always been?

A video of the Friday night dance at GSFTW/GFYS showed about a dozen people. I think this post names the entire remaining menu of wares in the dealers den - and I know one of these things won't be back tomorrow. Nighty night.

I put money where my mouth is and am personally funding someone who spent to go to the con and then got help to move to a different event.

Let me show you something. GSFTW's downfall came from bending over backwards to accommodate nazifur friends of the owner. They flip-flopped so many times about keeping nazis out or not, it was like playing peekaboo. It even burned their PR tool Sotalo. bsky.app/profile/dogp...
