The PR guy for GSFTW is being probably the only entertainment this con can deliver. Sotalo has been lecturing everyone about how things work, what a Nazi is or isn't, and how Trump supporters can be "socially leftist". Meanwhile, check out his definition of crypto-conservative... 🙄

New Sotalo excuses: "we had a security breach on our schedule". A hackerman broke in just to add panels they don't have any more. And "someone on staff made a last-minute reversal". He refuses to admit a pattern of people on staff being the kind who welcome Nazis, since the con was founded.

I love when Sotalo threatens frivolous defamation lawsuits on people who go all the way to trial. The last person who tried it on me lost their business and ended up owing me $32,000. A PR guy should know better than trying to shut up people who don't give in to bullies. bsky.app/profile/arth...

Just checked Sotalo's excuse for panels listed on the GSFTW schedule to be run by hosts who pulled out and are not attending. Both panels are still there and one still lists the same host. They aren't just dishonest, they're lazy about hiding it.

I'm in contact with sources that indicate GSFTW is scrambling to fill holes in their schedule of panels that pulled out, by swapping in any warm body that happens to be around.

One of Sotalo's last-resort excuses is "that's old, it happened last year with staffers who left". Why did they leave? Why do they keep leaving? Why does it keep happening with new ones? 🏃🪿 The con is managed by corrupt liars. And without any other info provided, Dashing still owns it.

JSYK, this thread is critical to corrupt management and bad faith defenders. Not average people going (although they should join a boycott), this is not a callout thread. I know some dealers are only attending under duress because GSFTW refused to refund them and they don't want the loss.

With one of those dealers denied a refund, I knew them enough to offer to pay for a table for them at another event, but they didn't read the message. Too bad, because the way the dealer map and panel schedule are full of holes says something about attendance and sales too.
