Life update: I got a port implanted today. It was an out patient procedure so I’m on my way home now. So now I’m scheduled to begin chemo next Monday. I’m doing ok trying to keep my head up. One day at a time. 💙

I had a prostatectomy last year not that it compares to chemo at all, but even a rather mundane surgical procedure recovery was not how cancer affected me mentally. Keeping my mental outlook stable was a struggle. Don’t be afraid to reach out to people and get affirmation.

Yes, I totally get that. It’s been challenging for me to stay positive but I understand and agree with what you’re saying. It really is key.
