That's it - 🇪🇺President von der Leyen's 'surrender deal' is dead. The EU is complying with the terms of their surrender. The 🇪🇺Parliament has ratified the terms. It is the US which is breaking the terms of the deal with this new tariff threat. Appeasement has not worked.

I wouldn't say that the trade deal was appeasement. There were enough benefits to the EU in it.

Aircraft parts imported from the EU into the US - exempt from tariffs. There you go - one (out of many) named. 🙂 15% instead of 20% sounds like a win too.

15% from 20% when it was 0% is not a benefit. I'm looking forward to the tariff on parts for my car.

Well, it was good when it was 2.5% for European cars, but that was then put up to 27.5%. That's how it would have stayed without the trade deal - so getting it down to 15% was a win.

There were no such tariffs before the liberation day threat!! There are absolutely no benefits compared to the previous situation. Literally none. Having your adversary back off a tiny bit from their maximalist threats but impose the rest of the threats is not a benefit.
