All Europeans will pay the price for their leaders' reaction to the 🇺🇸🇮🇱 attack on Iran this weekend. European leaders (all except Pedro Sanchez) have now accepted the end of international law. The consequences of this will be felt not for weeks, not for years, but for decades

Europeans, including Britain are making decisions to protect their own citizens as a result of Trump’s war. They aren’t getting involved in it. Some US commentators still believe that NATO is functional as they begin to proliferate nukes to the Baltic states against US wishes. Don’t be naive.

How can you say that Europe isn't getting involved, if leaders support Trump in words? Britain is involved by allowing the US to use regional British airbases. European leaders have to answer this with one sentence: "Trump chose this war, were not getting involved."

Britain & Europe has hundreds of thousands of its citizens in the Middle East so defending those countries is in it’s interests. Rutte, leader of NATO, an organization that means nothing anymore now that the US threatened Greenland last month is defending Trump. But he’s really out of a job. lol

To be fair they accepted it by not sanctioning Israel over the Gaza genocide. This is merely a continuation of that. The world is a far more dangerous place because of these Zionist scum.

It actually started with Iraq 2. It actually never was a full reign of international law. Now nobody can critivise China any more when they will attack Taiwan...

I am deeply ashamed by the reaction of European leaders. They make Europe look weak. Or better: they make Europe weak. We need a new generation of politicians

When you realise it is all about programming the monetary system to control every human on the planet totally sponsored and machinated by a few handfuls of elites the bombing of Iran, and next Cuba, the true evil of greed and power is revealed.

Europe needs to abandon America and Israel, which should be easy seeing as neither are in Europe. But, America has the largest military and economy, and Israel is America's best buddy, so Europe has to suck up to them purely out of fear. That's it. Fear. Goodbye morals, it was nice to have you.

The largest debt and the most money held by private individuals who support the government. The US is also the crowning glory of irony.

Fear, and the fact the European defence, intelligence, security and huge amounts of business infrastructure are bound up with US. Making a break with US would be a far, far messier divorce than Brexit.

And exactly what would you have them do? They all have **thousands** of their citizens holidaying and living in the middle East. Should the Europeans just let Iran target airports, infrastructure, allied bases without response? The US attack on Iran is unlawful and abhorrent. But it is now a fact.

Respectfully, you are being hyperbolic. You also dodged the point: European leaders are required to act to protect their citizens - both at home and abroad. I asked Claude for its estimate on current European (inc UK) citizens living/holidaying in the middle east. Its estimate is 930k-1.4M citizens.

I didn't dodge any point. These leaders fail to lead. Had they been leading, they would never have murdered a major figure in the Islamic world. This was a stupid, arrogant and completely uneducated choice to make. If they actually cared about protecting, they would never have started this shit.

Mira Dave mi presidente es una persona sensata el vuestro un demente juro q no habría guerra y ya lleva 7 bombardeos a ciudad diferente es un psicópata no queremos muerte ni guerra queremos paz.

Best thing Europe can do at this point is to transition faster away from fossil fuels. That is the only real way to insulate against this sort of insanity.

My fellow european, formerly citizen of our 'ally', now failed state, the USA. Is it the job of Europeans to rid Americans of their President? Has the US arrested ICC war criminal Netanyahu? Impeached Trump? Everyone is certainly paying that price, so, enough lectures on democracy and rule of law.

The writing was already on the wall with European leaders' reaction to Trump's illegal invasion of Venezuela, and to his first attack on Iran in June. They've tacitly endorsed the new might makes right era. That will not end well for Europeans.

open.substack.comInternational law died yesterday. And Europe helped kill it.Macron, Starmer and Meloni gave their stamp of approval to Trump's illegal invasion of Venezuela to run the country and take its oil. Who can take them seriously now on Russia's invasion of Ukraine?

The massacre of 62,000 Palestinians and the appalling lack of international response has paved the way for nations to engage in wholesale slaughter of human beings when any nation wants to get their way.

Only one EU leader has condemned the 🇺🇸🇮🇱 attack on Iran as a violation of international law: Spain. Not participating in the initial attack is not the same as publicly opposing it. Rutte claimed our leaders are welcoming it, and this has not been disavowed. And now Europe is about to be dragged in

So you are saying that after agreeing to the tariffs without retaliating, after staying silent on Venezuela, after all the bootlicking to keep the US on side for Ukraine, the EU leaders should have really thrown the toys out of the pram to protect Khamenei...
