Boomers are completely unable to imagine a change in the status quo that has existed since they were born. They're the worst generation to still be in charge at this moment.

Tbf, she is being hampered by EU governments that are only worried about their own industries being exempt from any retaliation by Trump and then blame the Commission for not being tough enough vs the US.

The math just isn't mathing here. The 🇺🇸President uses tariff tool X to extort the EU into making concessions A, B & C. The 🇺🇸Supreme Court removes tariff tool X before the 🇪🇺 concessions have been ratified. Yet von der Leyen's EPP wants to rush through approval of the concessions anyway...

EPP resisted today's decision to delay the vote. If they (Metsola) had their way EP would have ratified immediately after Council told them to on 22 Jan. At what point is EPP going to openly say why they are so intent on surrendering to Trump over and over even when Europe has the cards to resist?

Croatian EPP MEP Željana Zovko told Politico after the delay decision, "We have to have a vote in March and we have to respect our side to the deal.” “If we stick to the deal, we can at least demand something from the Americans." EPP logic.

🇪🇺President von der Leyen's Commission is still fighting 🇪🇺Parliament delaying ratification of her 🇪🇺🇺🇸 'surrender deal' because of the new uncertainty. They're absolutely determined to ram through these major EU concessions to Trump even though the threat they were responding to was struck down. Why?

EU trade chief @marossefcovic.bsky.social is worried about EP's delay to agreeing tariff reductions on US goods. "It is imperative we keep the process moving forward... A vote in Plenary in March must remain our target, under the condition, of course, that we get more clarity from the US"
