CurseForge is rolling out a new feature that makes it easier to download and manage data packs! These packs will be automatically loaded for every world using a mod like Open Loader! This currently supports Minecraft 1.21.1 and will be coming to more versions later on. #mcdev @curseforge.com

This looks like good UX on the surface but, what's a user to do with 3 suggestions of mods that do the same thing? How are they to know which to pick? It replaces confusion with more confusion! Although this way is fair, it may be better for users for Curseforge to partner up with a specific mod.

The mods are similar but not the same. They each offer different features and support different mod loaders and game versions. It is similar to displaying multiple mod loaders when a player creates a new profile.

The point of having multiple mods show, is to not create an unfair advantage for any of these mods. For those users that don't want to do anything advanced, they all boil down to the same. And more advanced users will likely already know these and be able to make an informed pick.
