I see lot of developers building apps with 🦋 / 𝕏 API. APIs are powerful but unpredictable. Twitter API went from free to $42,000/month. Risk management is a must when building on platforms you don't control. 🧠 Choose wisely and and always have a plan B. 🚀

No. Bluesky is completely different. They’re fundamentally different products. At protocol is an open protocol. It’s like saying there’s risk building on http or imap.

What excited me most about deso is that any dev good build on it. Curious to see if any indie devs take the opportunity to build their own bluesky clients. The challenge of competing with Twitter is its incredible network effect moat. But with BS that’s gone as you share their db.

Yes. And you won’t get much for that. There’s a 5k tier. At protocol is different. That’s what BlueSky is built on. Like crypto, you don’t need permission to build on the protocol

I expect 🦋 to move on API access as soon as they cross a certain threshold. Probably they won’t be as violent as Twitter or Reddit though

Didn't know it before, but yes Bluesky/ATProto's decentralized nature aligns more with openness and user control, reducing the risk of sudden, proprietary shifts like we've seen with X/Twitter.
