Really thought there might be a shot at a safe call there if you stitched together the overhead angle showing the tag not on him as his foot is over the plate and the field-level one that shows the toe touching the plate. But 50/50 (or 60/40) calls do not get overturned in Major League Baseball.

If we have the technology for ABS balls and strikes I would think the technology exists to know exactly when Chourio first touched the plate and then you can time stamp that and compare it to the moment of the tag. Or just get rid of replay.

Yep, if you can time a swimmer touching a wall or sprinter crossing plane within 100ths of second you could easily do the same at any base in baseball or on any given swing. Chourio was robbed and Pratt touched the edge of the bag with his cleat on the way down. Glad we are 2-0 and pages are turned.
