there's a multi page long debate over whether this makes him a fascist but no one has made the obvious thing response of ok lets say it does. lets go there. would that not also make 85% of this forum fascist

if you wanna argue that the background radiation of culture normalises a fascist worldview in incurious citizens who benefit from neo-imperial structures then ok. but you look very silly if you only do this for other countries. are you still voting democrat even after they backed a genocide?

anyway this is a far more pervasive and complex issue of orientalism in games spaces than genre names. so many discussions could be avoided if we all admitted we just don't actually know much about other countries, this is a gaming forum. it gets 100000x worse whenever china gets involved lol

Most Chinese people don't realize Uyghur concentration camps are a huge deal for Westerners, and most Westerners aren't aware that one of China's biggest celebrities is Uyghur. I get "no you're making that up" to both facts when I explain it to the corresponding groups, it's very startling!

If only Westerners cared as much about what caused it or realized the reason why they hate Muslims and Chinese, but care very deeply about Chinese Muslims is because of far right western think tanks and not any actual Muslim group.
