PLATNER IS LITERALLY STILL OPENLY USING THE "R" WORD IN CASUAL CONVERSATION. TODAY.

Ivan Hodes@chugachmtnblues.bsky.social

One noteworthy thing about this article is that Platner IN AN INTERVIEW WITH THIS REPORTER, IN 2026, describes the claim that his Nazi tattoo was a white supremacist symbol as "the fucking most retarded shit I’ve ever heard in my life.“

*taps sign* It doesn’t have to be this way. There’s a public health expert and actual elected union leader also running for Susan Collins’ seat. Bonus: I’m the person who chalked in front of her house causing her to move. We know she afraid of me.

Platner has sooo many flashing red lights…. The Nazi tattoo, the lying about the Nazi tattoo, the offensive comments about sexual violence, the use of the R word… if Mainers want “authenticity” maybe vote for someone who is authentic AND not an asshole. (This is where Andrea LaFlamme says “Me!”) :)

It's hilarious how unconvincing your account is. Like you don't even try. There are a few on here that manage to pull it off to some degree but you're just too eager

that is completely unacceptable. I have a developmentally delayed niece who is gorgeous, a HUGE fan of the Beatles, has a 1000 watt smile, lives independently, and loves her mother and brothers. If someone used that word around her I would not be able to control myself.

proving that your nazi tattoo isn’t a nazi tattoo by acting exactly like a nazi this is like that time that see-through guy tried to tell me he wasn’t a ghost by going “WOO-OOOO-OOOOO” not today asshole

I’m not sure he can beat Susan Collins. All the fun stuff that he is coming up with now might not go over so well with the general electorate. We’ve seen a lot of exciting young candidates that galvanize a certain portion of the voters but can’t get it over the finish line.

I don’t think he or Janet can. They’re both too divisive in Maine. I think I’m the only one who can beat Collins. I scared her once when I chalked in front of her house and I’m happy to do it again.

But that's exactly the point! The man is, what, 42 years old and he's running for U.S. Senate in a high-profile, nationalized race. Not to mention that he said this in an on-the-record interview about that very race, in the context of DEFENDING HIS GETTING A NAZI TATTOO.

He isn't a kid running for city council who had a slip of the tongue. He's running to be elected to one of the most powerful positions in the country against an opponent who's licking her chops to run against him. Even if I believed ALL of his bullshit excuses, he's not ready for prime time.

Just how stupid does one have to be to defend their nazi tattoo by using the R word? How hard is it to just say moronic instead? Give me a break man.

The thing about this other than the obvious is that he’s using that one thing to show look at me I’m my own man, I’m strong, you can count on me. As if there isn’t any other way for à man to be able to communicate that than using that word. It’s so difficult for him to not say that one word.

I’m gonna be honest I have legitimately just seen 0 discussion that goes beyond ”fuck this guy so much he is fetterman 2” I think it also is partially because Maine doesn’t have the internet or something idk.

As an aside: Assuming he's telling the truth (which I don't buy for a moment), he just admitted that he STILL DIDN'T MAKE THE CONNECTION *EVEN AFTER A STAFFER TOLD HIM ABOUT THE RUMOR*. We appear to on our way to having our own Markwayne Mullen.

Yeah, I don't believe his story for a second. Especially since we have old reddit posts where he talks about "his totenkompf". Fuck his Nazi ass

Wolfenstein has been a hit franchise and Platner just never played it? He just didn't watch Inglorious Bastards which was a massive film? He is a war buff who just never looked into WW2? Quite honestly he's just a liar. It's not even remotely hidden!

Though I understand what you're trying to say, and Platner isn't a type of candidate who should ever grace a Dem party ticket, but Palin was calling for the removal of a 'Dem administration official' for the use of R-word. She literally supported Trump vehemently. No need to dunk using Palin.

? Not particularly interested in “Rahm as president,” but this is from about 16 years ago, when he was White House chief of staff for Obama. Obama made a similar joke as president on a late night show and apologized.

I don't know, even in high school we were taught about nazis and their symbols, and I went to an all-girls Catholic school. Is it possible that someone can be that uninformed? Certainly, over the years, he should have realized his tattoo was a problem.

Maine, WTF? Can we not do this please? Can we be the party we always said we’d be if our candidate acted the way theirs did? (Remembering 2016 Trump making fun of a differently abled reporter and the entire Access Hollywood debacle - just to start!)

I don't live in Maine but I'll repost youn just cause Platner sucks hard. Also public college professors are cool in my book. Education is wildly important. * I live in Oregon just wanted to give props.

Awesome! Unfortunately I do not live in Maine, but I am happy to repost and I just donated! Please don’t feel any need to write a thank you note (hopefully you’re so inundated with donations that you can’t keep up anyway), just focus on your campaign ❤️

It’s the selling point folks were very happy about with the present occupant of the White House. Empowered to speak “truth” and not be “woke”, with the added delusion of it not being the same thing because of his party affiliation. Fetterman 2.0, Maine, come on; pull this baby out of the nose dive…

“Yeah, but repeatedly using the ‘R’ word isn’t nearly as terrible as genocide…so you support genocide and are a very, very bad person.” (I hear variations of this a lot on social media.)

Platner has a lot that’s awful but if he can ignite the working class voter to vote democrat then he’s welcome to the big blue tent. The democratic core has lost touch with the country and allowed MAGA to hijack the country. We need to build a coalition that is diverse and willing to work together.
