This is a GREAT example of people *doing* fascism even if they identify as progressive. Anyone who has touched grass in the last week can tell you that, no, obviously the tiny, tiny minority of anarchists aren't responsible for "handing over power" to fascists. That's nothing short of ridiculous

Thank God I *am* an anarchist because being so demands a meaningful analysis of politics and history along with a strong conviction to positive social values. I know and you know that the failures of the Democrats, Russian influence and decades of fascist organizing led us to this moment in the US

It's even more ridiculous to pin global fascism on Anarchists in light of decades of attacks on labour rights around the world, CIA influence in foreign affairs, Russia etc etc etc. Try living on the same planet as the rest of us if you're going to say things like this.

To be a bridge between both sides. I think both of you guys should consider there are anarchists like you, but also a lot of "anarchists" especially here in places like bluesky who basically use anarchism as a cover for what is often mere populism with a lefitist spin.

I agree with you and it's why I was in that thread trying to argue that the bridge here is that some people have somewhat reasonable justification for choosing to abstain from voting but also conceding that I personally don't make the same choice for reasons more aligned with these individuals

But yeah both of you guys should be able to discuss with each other on this topic but you both are too direct to recognize it ;P

There's direct and there's attacking people. I don't owe people like Ellie magnanimity when she came in literally mocking my efforts to do so.
