I think the mistake liberals make with this is misunderstanding the anti-fascist project To root fascist influence out of society, it's not sufficient to get "the one big bad" out of power (often temporarily). You have to attack fascist organizing, propaganda etc Voting doesn't accomplish all that

Not all fascists are the same nor are their projects. Hitler is a great example. The man was literally in jail before being elected and then remaining in power by stripping democratic controls. Trump-era stochastic terrorism doesn't take place merely from the seat of the white house.
