Cross-platform AirDrop replacement that works both locally and over the internet using Iroh github.com/chad/iroh-drop I have Mac and Windows clients plus a protocol and rust-based CLI. Actually useful already but it could be polished and would love to have more clients.

Hah, we had an internal app called iroh-drop that never quite made it over the line. Great to see this :) Atproto integration for sending to friends perhaps coming soon? 👀

Think it's possible to use Webassembly plus the browser file API for a client? What kind of network apis does it need?

Iroh can compile to WASM & run in the browser, it’s just relay-only connections. github.com/n0-computer/..., not entirely sure on files API permissions, but aside from any details there a web client should be doable!
