one of my stranger pieces of disney things is this WDI button from 1988. was it for animal kingdom's abandoned beastly kingdom team? was it for the Epcot china pavilion team? i don't know. (but i understand that this phrase has an additional, darker meaning, so its a real weird one.)

Hey, that's right!!! I totally forgot about that!! "In Asia, Ride the Dragon, a steel roller coaster running through the Dragon’s Teeth Mountains had cars designed like Chinese lion-dragons seen in festival dances." That's gotta be it! I bet it was called "Chase the Dragon" originally?!?

As a side note, the one time I visited the WDI Archives (what a blessed day), it seemed everything was on the table to look at for our project… except when I asked to open a drawer labelled "WestCOT". That one was a no-go. I'm still haunted by this.

Those little teal triangles in THE seem late 80s early 90s to me, that’s when I remember that sort of thing showing up. I also wonder if T H E was also some sort of internal acronym, though they sure made some wild typography chosen then.
