I get what you’re saying but I would not bring this up to a Black family that is grieving someone who was taken from them by cops during Black History Month, especially not if I don’t know them personally. Best I can suggest is to educate people and hope they make that choice in the future

You are not getting what people are saying, balloon releases kill wildlife. Grief doesn’t excuse them from polluting ALL of OUR planet. Please, bring flowers and pile them to the heavens.

Jesus Christ. A man was MURDERED. Please direct your environmental and animal welfare concerns toward any of the bazillions of actual polluters and animal abusers. Really and truly, how the fuck is this a reply to grieving family and community.
