2007 was Putin. 2016 was Trump. Kissinger and Nixon both got it in 1972. TIME loves putting bad people on there. There’s an argument to be made here about normalizing bad people

Every election year since 2000, TIME’s person of the year has been the person who was elected president. The only exception to that is 2020, when both Biden and Harris were Person of the Year.
