Flying into Vancouver, it was blindingly sunny in the plane. Below, Metro Vancouver is covered in a thick fog layer, with some higher places and bridges peeking through.

Beautiful. The bridge a bridge across to the island? (Sorry, dumb Brit here)

The Metro Vancouver area is a river delta on the coast, where the Fraser enters the ocean. So there are multiple waterways, with bridges over rivers, peninsulas, and islands, depending on where you are. Vancouver Island is a 1/4 the size of England and there’s a 2 hour ferry

It was super sunny in Surrey but when I drove down into the valley towards YVR to pick up my wife it was pea soup the whole way! Great shots 👌

Aerial photo of the bridge going to Stanley Park through the fog is amazing.

I _think_ that’s the Port Mann bridge (it’s not Lions Gate). Was very hard to orient from the plane since it’s all covered in fog.
