😆

I don’t speak Spanish, but understand quite a bit of it! I clearly understood what she was saying! I can understand why she’s Animal’s “kind of woman!”

Animal: So cool it.

Thanks, ¡gracias!

Sesame Street era fabuloso!

Did Animal actually respond in Spanish? It sounds like he says "Ya calle", which makes no sense unless it's idiomatic. Or babble.

Animal is bilingual!

Hubba hubba, she's beautiful.

😂

The Muppet Show was a national treasure.

Animal!!!!

Animal being naughty

What did Animal say about woman? Sorry, hearing issue .... Great piece, btw.

I’m in my 6th decade and I love the muppets! Any and all! I have a real affinity for Animal but love them all - and the stars that went on that show and Sesame Street have special hearts 🥰

As a drummer, I can say that Animal has always, and will forever be my favorite drummer.

she gets the tormented quality, so many singers try to embody the heat

😂

I'm in my 60's and I still get a kick out of then

Love Pepe!!

For sexy Muppet Show stuff, a surprisingly large category, I prefer this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_Yh...

Pure class!

Brilliant 👏🏼

Animal is one of the greatest rock drummers ever!

Hilarious! Thanks for sharing.

This is perfect!

Thankyou. Some sunshine!

I seriously remember this from when it aired. Mesmerizing.

That was such a good show

This is an absolute gem 😂

What an absolute treasure Rita Moreno is

Class

I remember this .I'm that old ,lol .it is a classic..

🤩

No microphone

Wonderful

Omg, this is so damn funny!

This is the best! Thank you

Hottie!

A classic. ANIMAAAAL

I first saw this on the muppets 30th anniversary special. That was 40 years ago 😭😭😭

This whole skit was absolute perfection. Makes me laugh every time.

🙌🙌❤️

This is so well done. Also love the heart to heart in Spanish.

Animal wasn't on Sesame Street. This was The Muppet Show.

I remember watching this. She’s a gem; beautiful !; a true gem of a person. ❤️❤️❤️🔥🫶🏻

Thank you!

i can hear this with the sound off

There's one little moment where a smile breaks through but otherwise perfection.

It's the classic "Michael Caine treats them as fellow actors; Tim Curry treats himself as a Muppet" dichotomy. Rita chose the first one, which is why it was so good. The people who mug with the Muppets are pretending they're in on a joke when it shouldn't be treated like there's a joke to be in on.

Animal should have won an Emmy

I remember her saying in an interview how much fun this was.

Thank you so much for finding this and sharing it! Hilarious!

🤣

The look on Animal's face. 😅🤣😂

Its the best, isn't it. The Muppet Show can be incredibly sexy occasionally....

Here 🤣

Can't wait till we're done with the current era of misery and get back to this happiness

Animal was my first drumkit hero

“That’s my kind a woman!” 🔥

Rightfully so, haha! (But didn't Jim Henson also do PBS work?)

Siskel & Ebert

Latinas/os

They also hate talent, skills, and bilingual people.

Rita Moreno is an incredible talent.

Good thinking

I love this!!!

Love Animal!

Classic 💙

🔥

She’s one of THE best!!!!

Hilarious thanks

IFuckingConic!

I think this was a children show. Loved the Muppet Show

Drummers emirite

This is my favourite muppet musical sketch.

That's quality. The muppets were awesome; a must-see on a Sunday afternoon. That skit is still very funny.

This is a masterpiece!

This was great! Thanks for sharing the much-needed laugh, talent, nostalgia, and gift for the eyes 👍🏿🌹

Sesame Street = USAID cuts reThugliKKKons HATE Sesame Street(childhood education) & food for hungry/starving people🤦‍♀️

🤣

🤣🤣

💯💯💯💯👍🏾👍🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥🔥🔥😍😍👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

She was 🔥

I remember this

She won the Emmy for that appearance.

Fantastico

Sorry, but I’ve always hated the muppets. Always. 🤷

I believe she actually won an EMMY for this act

This is another performance on the show. youtu.be/9fAd8ZvRH4U?...

Thank you for performing a public service by posting this. Words fail to describe what an amazing performer she is.

Animal is the best😉

"WUHHMAN!!!"

🤣🤣🤣

LOVE the Muppets!!! 🤗😆

Electric Mayhem was one of my favorite 70's band, with one helluva drummer! And Rita is hot!

Amazing

She is fabulous

need Rita Moreno correcting my drumming in Spanish

Awesome!!

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

She is an amazing human!

One of the most delightfully weird shows ever made.

Brilliant. She won a Emmy for that.

I believe this was Grohl’s tribute to the Belafonte episode, actually, as he also grew up on that.

😆😂

@ame-meeple.bsky.social

I remember watching this!

Animal! My favourite!

Perfect performance!

She can sing, dance, act, speak another language, be funny, is beautiful, did work for kids' literacy, and is apparently really nice. Animal was right in being impressed!

it's hard to believe that the genius of the Muppet Show ever existed.

She won an Emmy for that performance. 😍

Incredible , having such characters clearly to one side of most bell curves enabled our generation to become more accepting of eccentricities in the real world.
