"The story no one wants to touch: Why the Capitol Police enabled 1/6" "But the singular point of failure — the one thing that could have prevented all of it from happening — was that Capitol Police leaders brushed off ample warnings that an armed mob was headed their way."

presswatchers.orgThe story no one wants to touch: Why the Capitol Police enabled 1/6 | Press WatchIf the Capitol Police has been prepared, none of it would have happened. Learning from their failure is vital and urgent.

Tbf the Capitol police primarily deal with crowds of tourists/ shouty protesters-- probably assumed since the building was closed to tourists, the protesters would stay outside and yell. Weren't prepared for the Prez to urge protesters to riot.

Pretty sure those guys aren't the Capitol Police: they look like part of the group Bill Barr deployed to "flood the zone" in D.C. " 5,800 personnel from the National Guard, Secret Service, NPS, FBI, BATF, DEA, US Marshals Service, Bureau of Prisons, CBP, ICE, Federal Protective Service and TSA,"
