Being involved with a new edition of Phoenix is an honor (and a huge responsibility). Had been praying for a collected English edition like this for the last decade. Seeing this sent shivers down me spine! You're obviously all doing exceptional work with it, but it was *madness* it was out of physical English print for this long.

The art comes from the 2020 Japanese edition by Fukkan, which painstakingly restored the artwork to its original appearance in magazine serialization from 1954–1988. Any pages that were presented in 2-4 colors will be reproduced with those colors. We are printing the 1c pages in black & white.

Chapter title pages have been restored, including some beautiful paneling that was removed from all previous collected editions in Japan & the U.S. The books will read right to left. The art is full-res (B5 size). To get into the weeds—we are deviating from the Fukkan presentation in a few ways.

Collected Japanese editions removed any text at the top of each magazine chapter that summarized the "story so far." That text has been restored in the Fukkan editions, but we're leaving it out of ours for a smoother reading experience.
