My RDP IO Lab presentation on "Decrypting and Inspecting RDP traffic in Wireshark" was just *cancelled* - apparently Microsoft decided they would only do internal presentations, with no guest speakers 😠 What's the point of even trying when you get treated like this?

Who would like to review my slides for my upcoming RDP IO Lab presentation on "Decrypting and Inspecting RDP traffic in Wireshark"? I have finished my first draft, but could use some feedback. It's supposed to be 45 minutes in total, including Q&A. Just DM me with your email and I'll send you a copy

Sounds like a great session. You should submit it to another conference and if you ever want to share it with a smaller audience, my security user group is always looking for great content.

I don't understand why they would cancel you. Clearly the presentation adds value to an event focused on interoperability! Plus the schedule is not even busy... Bad move from them.

It gets worse: there were two guest speakers in the afternoon of the first day, now it's been updated to a session on Responsible AI and some testing time with no presentation. You can't make this up

Haha, no, the event is free but they don't pay for speakers. I was the one who suggested I do a presentation to fill a need I knew was there: there is no proper tooling to decrypt RDP traffic and the event is there for RDP implementers to test their stuff with access to the RDP team

I will consider my options, but don't worry, I will publish this presentation one way or another. I've already put in the work, and it's very useful. It just won't have any Microsoft branding on it
