Fox Business: "45% odds now of an October rate hike now. No! They're gonna hike in the month before the midterms?! ... I know you don't like it, but this is the biggest [inflation] jump since May. It is outpacing workers' wages."

I LOVE that guy's shock at the idea that a financial person might make a sound financial decision (rate hike) if it might impact the GOP's midterm chances. So shallow. So transparent.

Thanks FOTUS, you are the best business man ever, 6 corporate bankruptcies, and now a country and possibly the entire world. What an accomplishment, Nobel prize for business for sure! Lol

The autopsy revealed a brain aneurysm. Only 37 and we feel she was really let down by the VA not addressing some other issues. She was a wonderful person and we all want to keep her great spirit in mind and not losing her

Never should have been lowered last year, the tariffs were too unpredictable and the market needed to be tampered. BUT they folded to political pressure then. If the Fed keeps interest rates up, they're going to have a lot of problems inflating away the debt.

I am more and more thankful each day that, despite FRMs running +7%, my house sold and closes next week. Owning a vacant home 1100 miles away through the winter would have sucked balls.

Congratulations! Our home took several months to sell last year while we were living at the new home in another country. And it did indeed, as you so elegantly stated, suck balls. Luckily we had the best RE agent on the planet (Steve Kinney).

I am very fortunate that total time on the market, from listing to closing, was <80 days. But the buyers got a deal...their lender even waived the appraisal. I'm glad we both succeeded. After the next rate hike, it's going to get really ugly.

Republicans will be spinning and trump and his minions will be hitting the TV lying that the hikes are good, things are going great and if the Republicans keep Congress, everyone will get a check.

I love how they're acting concerned as if they care about any of us beyond our votes and the ever increasing odds that they become the subject of a violent revolution

The way you know it's a cult instead of a party and a dogma rather than an ideology is that with a political catastrophe that will consign dozens of them to lobbying or even returning home and getting a semi-real job forever, "we need to reverse his idiot tariff policy" isn't even being whispered.

Yeah everyone knew Warsh was a hawk, he loves raising rates. Trump ignored that because he thought he had Warsh in his pocket. We will have to see.

Sounds like Fox have not heard the great news from Bessent = hot economy with Trump’s genius moves on tariffs & tax breaks for the wealthy having us poised for explosive growth. We don’t need all this downer talk on debt & inflation.

I don't suppose any of the Faux News commentators will bother to note that if the Fed had already made more adjustments, it would have 1) already had time to help bring inflation down before midterms, and 2) might not be necessary to hike again if trend was already moderating 😳🤡s

If he doesn't hike, it will send a clear message to the markets that the fed are political. Bond vigilantes will send the markets crashing before the mid-terms.

The FED is not supposed to consider electoral politics when making their decisions. Pubs are so used to having institutions in their pockets that they think anything less than helping them is outrageous
