DUN DUN DUN -- Fox Business: "We have the numbers. So ... it looks like inflation is accelerating. These numbers are higher than the previous month and higher than expectations"

So interest rates are going to get raised again in the near future causing to strengthen the dollar exchange rate and therefore encouraging import and worsen the trade balance. It’s good to see tariffs are working.

There’s a good reason why his polling numbers on this remain abysmal, despite his litany of lies about the economy during the rallies.

Whose expectations? Financial analysts have said for over a year that tariffs are inflationary. War is inflationary. Oil & Gas shortages is inflationary. Either Fox is willfully ignorant or they're pushing propaganda to prop up a failed president. 🤷‍♀️ #ResistPeacefully #VoteBlue #ImpeachTrump 💙🇺🇸

Wait...so Trump was WRONG? He said the only reason why we aren't thanking him enough for his new Golden Era and the best economy in the history of the U.S.A. is that we're f*cking stupid and ungrateful, and "affordability" is a DEMOCRAT HOAX. Does this mean he...LIED? NO! I refuse to believe it!

. Inflation is 3.7% Trump has failed as an economist but will do nothing about it. Until he realises that there is a problem he will not fix it. He pretends there is no problem. But real economists say that implementation of his upcoming policies will make inflation far worse after the midterms.

This is the last inflation announcement prior to the mid-terms I think. I am wondering how much creative accounting has taken place to keep the figure this low.

With fuel inflation rampant, and fuel costs naturally intending to infect prices of other goods, there must be much "as yet unrealized" inflation in the pipeline. But... I am surprised the index isn't much higher by now.

Ah, the classic "surprise" that happens every single month. We've successfully automated the shock cycle; we're now just buffering the inevitable.

Now that the bots are down, can anyone explain the math for inflation? I can compare the percent increase in prices over the past several years of the items I purchased. It’s increased several hundred percent, not tenths of a percent.

So much for telling everyone that the economy is doing wonderfully. People do not need another round of cheerful talking points; they need grocery bills, utility costs, housing, and healthcare to become more affordable.

It's because every indicator says we're in a recession if you remove Ai spend. AI spend is the only thing propping this economy up and whether Dems or Republican win the bubble pops after midterms. 1 because republican's need it to stay competitive, 2 billionaires don't care after mid terms.

I think we should spread the word..... It's not Trump that's doing this by his lonesome. It's Republican Reps and Senators. They enable all of this. They deserve to lose in November. They made this.

"Businesses are reaching their limit on absorbing costs, multiple supply-side factors are directly driving this resurgence" A massive 9.1% surge in gasoline prices over the month accounted for more than half of the entire CPI increase.

"This is largely tethered to escalating geopolitical tensions and the ongoing war involving Iran, which has driven fuel oil prices up by 74.2% over the last year. This is due to ongoing war involving Iran, which has driven fuel oil prices up by 74.2% over the last year."

September inflation surged to 3.7% year over year, with core inflation also exceeding forecasts. Prices jumped 0.6% in just ONE MONTH. Meanwhile, real earnings fell 0.5% in September.

How much worse than that number is it really, because you cannot seriously trust numbers from the White House or its sycophants in the Labor Department???

Is anyone actually shocked? Anyone surprised hasn't been paying attention since the felon was reelected. But the 'Best is yet to come!' when people start getting kicked off their Medicare and we still have Iran to look forward to.

2 years in, Biden's disastrous policies prove to be so tenacious that they continue to blemish an economy that is better than its ever been while farmers are doing the best they've ever done. We love the farmers—have you seen the bulge in Arnold Palmers palmer's pants? Very powerful.

Oh, maybe they're telling the truth for a change (although that seems unlikely). EVERYBODY GOING TO THE GROCERY STORE OR FILLING UP THEIR CAR KNOWS INFLATION IS UP. Far more than the numbers that have been reported.

Fox News: “It’s weird how often we are wrong about everything. Maybe we should think about that. “ Just kidding. They are dumb as rocks. They will continue to report the consequences of electing Trump as a total mystery to them.

Yeah cuz they know when democrats take over, they'll be fined from here to Hell and back for price gouging and prosecuted for being egregious asshats so they're getting as much money as they can before that happens. It's a bank robbery in broad daylight only it's the owner of the bank robbing it.

When Biden left office on January 20, 2025, the inflation rate was 2.9%. As of October 14, 2026, inflation stands at 3.7% and climbing. That’s an increase of 0.8 percentage points. gasoline prices jumped 9.1% in September alone. It’s the cost of living, stupid. People feel it. Trump f’d it up-Again!

They make it so complicated, as if fox viewers understand any of this biz talk. PRICES ARE RISING is all they need to say...but they won't. They only use 3-word explanations to deliver good news to Trumpers.

Don’t forget people who voted for Kamala are suffering too. And the safety net is about to drop off right after midterms, thanks to the big brutal bill. Then the hard work really starts. I hope we’re still up for fighting when it hits.

Republicans: B-b-b-but Biden! His inflation was high, eh, 5 years ago! And and it takes a long time to fix it! Everyone: Hmm. Why did Epstein’s bff say he’d fix it “on Day 1”? Inflation was 3% then. It’s higher now. Repubs: But…well, you see…it’s ummm… Everyone: He said he’d end the wars, too.

Throwing a picture of the the stock exchange readout doesn't mean a thing to the person who's working two or three jobs does still doesn't have enough money to buy groceries for their kids and can't buy gas for their auto. The the stock market doesn't directly connect to Main Street.

All this really shows is the businesses and investment portfolios are feeling the crunch of Trump's regime. The people on the street just don't connect to the stock market

Seems like this has been priced in (market-wise) for some time, as evidenced by the uptick after the announcement… although the market mostly moves with a small handful of stocks, these days. I think most Pols running also expected this, just before the election.

I'm looking forward to Howard Nutlick explaining to us how to actually read these numbers; while Scott Bessent tells us about his one dollar butter he just bought.

when you keep it together and stay professional while reporting the bad economic news but at the end you can't keep the grimace off your face before the camera switches to your co-anchor

But you have to understand, if you look closely, when you consider all the salient issues, & the current economic environment, the prevailing concerns, & other important issues, it's JOE BIDEN'S FAULT!! Also, we're WINNING like NEVER BEFORE! Sigh...Maybe we not be 'slugs for salt' this Nov?
