All USG lawmakers should just be invested in the same index fund - no matter what party. They can put as much money in there as they want, and when they leave government, they can move it out of that fund without penalty/capital gains.

Well, anybody who's on a committee that works on a certain legislative package should deny contributions from people who are in the industries that are affected.

if you are aware of donations and investments, blind trust or not, it is still unethical. When Lummis leaves Congress at the end of this year, money or in this case bitcoin is hers to spend. Anyway I am pretty sure in politics, blind trusts are managed by politicians indirectly. Fraud is rampant.

I mean we just receive it. It’s like a Mardi Gras parade with lobbyist floats. They just throw it at you. What am I supposed to do throw it back? That’s silly if you think about it.

I put my Bitcoin into a blind trust. Then I started my new job where I regulate Bitcoin. And while I was pursuing this job, I accepted campaign donations directly from Bitcoin through BitPay. How do I know if the guy running my blind trust sold the Bitcoin I regulate? I mean, he could be an idiot.

This used to be all done behind closed doors. And since that fucker came down his shitty escalator, this party comes at you in waves and says, ya I’m corrupt, what are you gonna do about it? This timeline is so fucked up.
