THUNE: These premiums are going up a little bit b/c of the expiration of the enhanced tax credits VITALI: I think people hearing their premiums are doubling don't feel that it's a little bit T: I'm just saying only a small part of that is attributable to the expiration of the enhanced tax credits

Yeah, you said it perfectly peter theal pretty much admitted it! They build all those data centers which are super toxic to everyone around and kills all the humans so robots can do all the work we did so the billionaires can use the Earth as their playground because we’re in their way

They always planned to message that the price hikes they deliberately caused were because "Obamacare was always a failure and a ticking time bomb and the Dems did it to destroy the best health care system in the world." They've simply been forced to start it early.

He would lie and say it's lower quality, there are long waiting lists, etc, etc. We've heard it all from the GOP over the years. But ask any of the other countries if they'd trade for our f'd up system? Crickets ...

I’ve been saying this for years and I think folks are finally coming around to agree with me: you can’t be a Republican AND be a good person. The only caveats are: mental deficiency or, living on a remote island with no access to information.

Thune using a nominal scale and weasel words to minimize serious financial consequences is 1980s NLP. It also exploits the poor mathematical comprehension and calculation abilities of their base. Oh yes, he knows. Accuracy counts.

So, it's still gonna happen, it's just not because of one single thing? Cool. Really helps us out there Anything but single payer health, LIKE ALMOST EVERYONE ELSE HAS, is immoral, a choice made by politicians for money, and WILL lead to death and bankruptcies

They made huge tax cuts for a very few people permanent. When prices are going up, they won't help their own voters even a little. These are their principles. This is not about budget. They've blown the deficit up. It's what GOP does. This is about trying to take away benefits we Americans pay for.

So it would help millions of people to not let enhanced tax credits expire? If it’s “a little bit”, then it’s not that great a cost (less than $40 billion!) But sycophantic GOP can’t bring themselves to do even that without the OK from the Orange demented criminal in the WH? Stand strong DEMS💪🔥🤬

Just a little bit.

A 50-yr old adult earning $40K/yr would see their net premiums double. A single parent earning $60K/yr would see theirs go up ~80%. A family of four earning $70K/yr would see theirs TRIPLE. And an older couple earning $90K/yr would see their net premiums QUADRUPLE starting January 1st.

Oooohh, Thune you almost had it. Almost had it. So close to admitting the system is so broken it requires subsidies for Americans to be able to afford it. Anyway, to your point, Republicans said they would make things affordable. By your own admission you should be fighting to *keep* the subsidy.

It's not just health insurance. My home insurance doubled last year, so we had to switch. Luckily, the new one was cheaper (still more than before) but the actual coverage was much worse. Those subscriptions we all have jump 20-30%/yr. People need to wake up to how bad this is going to get.

Maybe they should lose their big fat salaries. That might finally get them to retire. These cold hearted sobs will never care about the less fortunate……. And for almost all of them they were fortunate to be born into wealth or have sugar daddies like Thiel

Yeah, some of the increase could be due to the tariffs Trump has put on imported drugs and to defray the extra cost of handling more cases of the measles and other preventable diseases

It's been a while since I've looked at ACA legislation, but wasn't there a limitation on how much premiums could be raised year-over-year? If these massive premium increases aren't due to the ACA credits expiring, why isn't the gov't pushing back to tell ins companies that they are in violation? 🤔
