Trump: "There will be a time where we're just gonna make the deal. In other words, we don't need the country involvement, because we're already had it. And we'll say, this particular country, which had big surpluses, we had therefore deficits, that this particular country is gonna pay a 25% tariff"

Imposing a tariff by fiat is something no president has no authority to do. The national emergency is literally a trumped-up crisis. Congress and the SCOTUS need to step up and stop the orange tyrant.

They "don't need the country involvement" because he just wants the bribe and then the tariff will change but it will never go away because the bribes have to keep coming in the trade game they play. bsky.app/profile/atru...

He is really a dumpass. If it is U.S that puts the tariffs, it is U.S citizens that finally pay the tariffs. And his idea about the manufacturing investments. No way. Investors love predictability and stability. And Trump, he is capable just chaos.

And this business genius got a diploma in Business? Ever taught what 'making a deal' as in business deal means? It has never meant you alone decide. It has to be agreed upon by at least 2 parties. But carry on with your bullshit. Extortion is a crime. Way past your jail time felon.

The Art of the Deal, huh Trumpelthinskin? If only he knew what a deal actually is and how it's arrived at. Better yet, if only he knew what a tariff is! Nothing but word salad from this doofus. Another day waking up to not find THE obituary! Damn!

Trump has very limited language skills and even lower understanding of the definitions of words. He believes whatever he decides a particular word means, it means. To him "deal" means "whatever I say."

The Art of the Deal appears to be to just announce deals and pretend that's how things work. Sadly, it seems to work most of the time because people just go along with it.

He said on AF1 he’d just unilaterally start assigning tariff rates to various countries based on his own whims. Turns out the Great Negotiator’s greatest negotiating tactic was eliminating the need for great negotiations!

"Some people seem to think Trump's playing chess, when most of the time the staff are just trying to stop him from eating the pieces." Still the most accurate description of his presidency.
