COLLINS: Is this going to hurt people in your state? SHEEHY: There's absolutely going to be short-term pain. I mean, if you're going to remodel your house to make it better in the end, it's gonna be really annoying in the short-term

You ever see those massive remodels where someone demolishes a house to the studs? Then they run out of money or change their mind. Then the formerly perfect house sits for years as a shell. No one will touch it. That's what assholes like this guy and Trump are doing to America.

Sometimes you have a perfectly good house, but you decide, “hey, what if we ripped the roof off?” and that might be rough when it’s raining but eventually you’ve gotta think about a new roof!

This is their mantra. I have heard it more than once. Just think of it as a remodel. You won’t be able to afford to live but hey think of it as drywall dust.🤦‍♀️

Senator Booker is holding a marathon on the senate floor live tonight and hopes to go all night long Please Turn on CSPAN or turn on UTUBE to support him speaking on behalf of Americans who have written to him pleading for his help to save Medicare and Medicaid . Please repost and share

The mother of 3 living paycheck to paycheck “do not remodel their houses.”They try to get by. Use that analogy to their faces to explain why they’re just going to have to deal with short term pain.

What Sheehy blatantly leaves out, when prices go up and they will, yea there’s short term pain but if/when prices come down, they will just lower to the current price things are at. There’s no gain for the working class, only pain. Him, rich donors, 🍊fuehrer, fElon, and their master Putin don’t care

If they are already covering themselves with talk about "short term pain" instead of the usual sycophantic caterwauling about how "amazing and awesome" everything is echoing from their entrenched position up Cheetolini's ass... ...imagine how bad the reality is truly going to be.

They really do believe this crap don't they. But they offer no future solutions except burning everything to the ground. They share no plans for making up what's lost or rebuilding what they break, or replacing what they cut. Are they literally flying by the seat of their pants?

Oh do telI, good sir. I believe the pain is more analogous to the day you settle back into the remodeled home, it burns to the ground, you fight tooth & nail to get the extortion rate ins. co. that you paid faithfully for years to cover the loss, only to be told they don’t cover fire claims anymore.

The dream that manufacturing will magically ramp up in time to prevent people from dying and the economy from crashing is preposterous. Anybody with half a brain knows this.

This is really the salient point. A lot of Americans agree we should bring back American manufacturing, but these guys have no plan to achieve that. Massive tariffs will lead to mass layoffs, and with no safety net, people WILL lose all basic means of survival.

"The previous gorgeous home doesn't seem to have anything obviously wrong with it. It's possible there were issues. Leveling it for a huge new property is still a highly questionable use of resources, and the construction process would have burned plenty of dirty fuels"

thecooldown.comBefore-and-after photos of questionable home renovation spark outrage online: 'They literally paved paradise and put up a parking lot'McMansions are often seen as environmental nightmares, but a Reddit user shared a story that reveals just how bad they can be.

These GOP clowns are constantly talking about the national deficit. Do these cult members know the remodel cost $$$? The only way I know to remodel a house without breaking the bank is to have a wealthy relative pay for it.... soooo maybe we should ask the rich to PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE IN TAXES!

I love the “remodelling the house” analogy. If you’re in the top 1%, you have an unlimited renovation budget. Everyone else gets abandoned by the contractor after they’ve put a giant hole in your wall.

If you’re restoring the gilded age you have to create the serfs, which will be ugly. There will be screams of pain and loss. Close your eyes and plug your ears if you don’t want to watch and hear them suffer, and soon enough we’ll have the soundproofing installed around the moat

But Sheehy...you're not the one who would experience any of that short-term pain, so...you're not qualified to speak for the 90% Americans

Why are they going along with trump on this? Because they're scared musk will fund a primary? If they allow trump to destroy the economy their constituents will vote them out anyway.

What if you don't even have a house to remodel? These idiots only want to worship T and keep their salaries and insider trading. These MAGA don't represent the people or support the constitution. The American dream is a lie because it was only meant for white men to enrich themselves or feel better.

If Americans were willing to sacrifice in the short term for a better tomorrow they’d taking meaningful steps toward averting a climate crisis. The odds that they are going to love a trashed economy and effed up government services? Much, much lower than that.

Hey Sheehy. I love these remodel analogies that seem to be the go to for Republicans. So you go for the remodel and suddenly realize that you have blown a hole in the house so big that you need to do a complete rebuild of the house. Yep that is why you fools should watch more HGTV.

Sheehy needs to speak to retirees with IRA, 401k contributors and people who lost jobs due to DOGE, worrying about home remodels probably isn’t on their list of concerns.

Some of us are hitting retirement in a few years & don't have time for their "short term pain." Republicans, like Romney, hollowed out this country in the 90's, killed whole towns so corps could make a couple extra bucks making things in Cjina, now they want to "fix" what they broke with tarrifs?

Why doesn’t she push back?… and also before putting him on and asking that question why doesn’t she get feedback from people from Montana first so that she can ask him to listen to what he’s consistent actually say about what’s going on. Her asking the questions without feedback is pointless

Multimillionaire Tim Sheehy with a relatable everyday analogy on how frustrating a home remodel can be to explain why y’all who make less per year than his home remodel would cost should suffer and deal with it.

sheehy was born into wealth and privilege. He has no idea what "short term pain" is. He's nothing more than a ventriloquist's puppet for steve daines. The best part for him is he likes where steve sticks his hand.

the rest of the country is coming to the realization that the only thing the nazi cares about is that he gets to watch people he doesn’t like suffer that’s it national security global standing economic dominance none of it matters as long as cletus gets to watch brown people being tortured

I find the ignorance of the way tariffs work and how they cost those that can least afford them, absolutely astounding. They are certainly towing the Trunt line.

Taking trillions of dollars in supply chains, melting them down and reforging them through the appropriation of resources and manufacturing that are not actually existing in this country but are readily available elsewhere, is EXACTLY like changing out kitchen cabinets. STFU.

Short term pain (for them) is "Sorry sport, we can't afford mcdonalds for the 10th time this week." For others (who they say 'mooch off the system') it is "we can't afford school lunch every other day." Or, more likely, the parents starve themselves so the kids can eat (I've witnessed this).
