You're stating a fact, sure. But you also made an incorrect assumption. The depiction of Ms. Pacman has nothing to do with the LGBTQIA (or specifically trans) aspect of this post, just the 1980's part.

Only going to get worse as games move from physical media to downloads. There are already problems such as DLC being delisted (on games around ten years old), making it impossible to obtain legally.
