- Americans largely buy things at higher prices because it cost more to build and distribute them here because we all ge paid absurdly high - fossil fuels should be 2-3x more expensive - “finance” doesn’t even factor into this? - most of what you’re talking about is trump and tariffs.

Corruption and high prices are largely the same issue. If Democrats can dismantle the Trump/Tech/Fossil Fuel/Finance mafias running the country, things will cost less relative to our incomes.

Concert tickets cost way more in U.S. than Europe. Swipe fees on credit cards, too. Utility monopolies fight clean energy, etc. Those are regulatory rather than cost input

"Concert tickets cost way more in U.S." because we make more "Swipe fees on credit cards" because we make more "Utility monopolies fight clean energy, etc." those are regulated monopolies, not typical private companies. you can actually just regulate them. but also, what are you talking about?

I’m not referring just to inflation driven by labor or commodities, but also to monopolistic corporations, giant tech firms smothering competition because they can, private equity buying and wrecking stuff that otherwise worked.

there are _very_ few monopolies in America today that aren't public monopolies e.g. Georgia Power the private equity thing is just, and I'm sorry to say, completely made up. if it worked then private equity wouldn't have bought it.

at least, the private equity that I assume you're referring to. other forms are Very Normal
