Only my third day at home in Puerto Rico and I heard the morning call of "aaaaaa-zucenas" coming down the street! A visit from Saúl Dávila, the man who's famously been walking around San Juan hand-selling azucenas for 50 years. First time I've ever seen him. This picture's from the internet.

This has the same energy as the guy in our neighborhood who drives by every day in a little van, blasting the same song on a loop and selling homemade loaves of bread and pan dulce.

My mom says it's only in the last 1-2 years he must have figured out his flowers sell in this neighborhood because now she says he's up and down these streets nearly every day
