I sat down today to look into this copyright claim against one of my videos where I'm playing Super Mario Brothers 2. The claimant is claims copyright on this video which they have uploaded: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqdw... This doesn't look like Nintendo... 1/2

The game music was composed by Koji Kondo for the 1988 release of the game. This seems like a big scam as this track was uploaded Oct 12, 2026. How do I contest this as they have managed to gain the copyright for this track by simply uploading it to YouTube. 2/2

You kinda can't... You can go through the normal dispute process but if the company is so inclined they can take it all the way to the courtroom if they're that Hell-bent. You COULD inform Nintendo, but of course then they may turn around and initiate the claim instead. :/

There is a copyright lawyer who does Youtube claims, look up Rick Beato, its very common problem with fake claims.
