Courtney got me POWERFULLY interested in this book years ago on the SB podcast by saying, "I told a friend I'd never write a contemporary...unless I did X. if i remember right, she also noted that it had substantially more f-words than her other books. (this novel was my gateway from restricting my romance reads to historical, as my parents had always done.)
