George W. Bush had plenty of opportunities to speak up. January 6th. The January 6th Committee. Trump’s return to power. Mostly silence. But now he’s stepping back into politics to help Republican senators get reelected? Yeah. I have some thoughts.

Have a lot of thoughts about Gdub, none good, he’s no better than RMNixon, he just had a bigger support group, his “people” maximized utilization of his Jan 6 false flag operation. I’m sure he underestimated the Saudi double cross, but he’s either that stupid (my belief) or that evil.

Bush would have spoken up if he truly loved democracy--remember he referred to his politicians as the Texas Mafia? He was always skewed to the same behavior as the majority GOP. He was never a good guy. No rehabilitation of him ever.

Amen. I shake my head when I wonder why more repubs don't speak out like Adam and Lynne. I disagree with most of their policies, but I'll never doubt their loyalty to the Constitution.

Ah. The fucker who presided over the amplification of an embedded climate of national fear; the accelerated creation of the surveillance and security state. And the over militarized “police.”

GW Bush was never the smartest tool in the box & another mediocre Republican president. His support of any Republican running for office is telling of his lack of concern for the American people, once again. Where is his integrity?

I ran into Billy Bush recently and I asked him about his cuz. He said George served his country for 8 years and he doesn’t owe us anything more. That’s how a former POTUS feels. Piece of trash is you ask me.

Sorry you’re surprised, I always knew. Bush isn’t a sociopath like Trump, but he’s still a nepo baby failson like him. He just came from an educated, classy, societyfamily. He got special treatment during the Vietnam war while my brother crawled through the jungle. Daddy bailed him out many times.

Unfortunately you and Massie are the only ones in your party who have any semblance of moral clarity! Plus W is a moron!

Unfortunately way too many of these politicians in both parties vote in the interests of their donors it’s all on a spectrum now! Blue is better than red and Massie and Adam are better than Moses Mike and Stephen Miller! It’s a sad state of affairs!

I wish they would apologize for all the damage they’ve done. Like voting with Trump 90% of the time while he was in office. Massie still hasn’t read the Epstein client list in Congress

Bush proves to still be Republican and like all current Republicans, followers of Trump. If he was in the senate, he would behave like Mitch McConnell

His silence has been a disappointment. I know it’s something he’s always adhered to since he left office. One president at a time. But when democracy is under attack, a lot more people would realize the gravity of it if all the living ex-presidents spoke out about it in a forceful manner.

That's because Dubya is a efn moron. Was the worst White House occupant until Donny came along. Plus he & Cheney's administration was the start of and largely responsible for the division in this country shortly after 9/11. "Your either with us or your against us" ring a bell?

Bush II was the first manchurian candidate. Cheney thought he would "guide" Bush II through his terms. But Bush II proved a little slyer than the GOP gave him credit for and that didn't work too well. In Trump, they found the perfect vehicle to do all their dastardly power grabbing moves.

Your statements hold true for any R who privately expresses concern about what's happening to the country but publicly supports it. Apparently, there are many R hypocrites. They don't like what they see but they support it anyway. The whole party is a sham & a shell of its former self.

💯 I was very surprised GWB after saying NOTHING for 10 years chose to use his political capital to help the country club Republicans try to resurrect the party after Trumpism. It. Won’t. Work. MAGA Republicans must be defeated. Another can take its place. New name and most important, new people

... Good two minute rant. Though I disagree: my opinion of Dubya and criminal cohorts (including Tony Blair) never got OUT of the gutter, no matter how many 'smiling with Michelle Obama photos' I saw. He's always been scummy. ...

W. is a war criminal. He should have been prosecuted. He can go right back to ranching, painting, and keeping to himself if he knows what's good for him.

Kinzinger is a slow learner, but I'm glad he's learning. Bush was a fucked up Pres., but has some regard for democracy. If he lives long enough Kinzinger will grasp the basics

Electing more Rs isn't going to save the party, especially when they support the current guy who will make sure this is the MAGA party.

"How did you go bankrupt?" Bill asked. "Two ways," Mike said. "Gradually and then suddenly." -- Ernest Hemingway The Sun Also Rises 1990s "conservatives" initiated an "us v them" win-at-all-costs zero-sum model of culture, politics & governance resulting in hypocrisy, tribalism, & bad government.

Yeah ... about that ... I've been wondering what's really behind his noticeable absence throughout the entire Trump decade of raping and pillaging the country. Still wondering, but I have arrived at some pretty unflattering conclusions about him.

Facts about George W. Right before the 2000 election, Jeb Bush purged 50,000 minorities from voting rolls. The Bushes were criminals who stoled the 2000 election. He nominated Roberts and Alito to destroy voting rights. He ran up the deficit. George W. is a criminal.

That bar is in hell, possibly even under it. GW should've been the *floor* of awful, not a reason to bring out the industrial digger.

Loyalty to a party is the escape route for people who won't take the time to actually know and understand candidates and refuse to think for themselves. I quit any affiliation 25 years ago, and it's very lberating but it requires taking responsiblity and critical thinking in order to vote.

I never bought his case for the Iraq War. We patrolled Iraq's skies with fighter jets and helicopters backed by spy satellites, and still couldn't find the weapons of mass destruction the invasion was sold on — because they weren't there. Now he's writing checks to keep a MAGA Senate in power.

The republicans over the last 12 years has been a total disappoint so it's not surprising George Bush still supports his Grand Old Party. Guess he doesn't realize that party died on Jan 6th 2021.

I'm guessing someone led GWB by the nose.. He's still not bright enough to discern what he's doing.

It’s a non issue…. Younger generation doesn’t know him and the older generation still knows him as the “mission accomplished” guy that got us stuck in the Middle East for a couple of decades.

This is disappointing, but not surprising. When GW was re-elected for his 2nd term, I seriously wanted to move out of the U.S. I despised that man so much, but my son was young and my husband talked me out of it because we had our own business. Trump made me forget my loathe toward GW.

Adam, I think you give Bush far too much credit. A true leader would speak out against their party when it has become as depraved as it has. He’s a coward who chooses party over people.

I mean, he's part of that Evangelical wing of the GOP. Maybe he's hoping Trump bringing out the Rapture in mushroom-shaped "Jesus escalators" will help him dodge consequences.

It's hard for some of us to believe that the man who sued to stop the counting of votes in the state where his brother was governor and a court, where more than half the justices were nominated by his father or the administration where his father was VP, agreed to stop it really loves democracy.

I was in Kindergarten and they showed me the President was George Senior and I said oh God we have a bad leader. Then I was in high school and college and his son was President and I said these people are terrible. The son is more likable but he’s dummer and the CIA Dad was evil. I’m not surprised

Remember that if it wasn’t for Bush’s awful Iraq war we might not have Trump now. Possibly the worst foreign policy decision ever made by the US. Time and Trump’s abject awfulness have softened thr memory of Ws tenure in the minds of many. He doesn’t deserve that. He sucks.

George is afraid the USA might start upholding international law and turn Trump over to the ICC for war crimes and extra judicial killings. Because if a former president can be prosecuted at the Hague, it might not stop with 1.

Staying with and supporting a party based on its name is just moronic. Trump has them supporting things they opposed not too long ago. Instead of buying what your party of choice is selling, vote for the party that best represents your beliefs.

bush was always a fking pos. After 911, we had the entire world behind us, but that lead head went after the wrong country. How many service people died, how much money was thrown away. The gop is nothing more than a mass murdering organization that doesn’t give a fk about our country

At the end everyone has to watch out for themselves No one will protect them Money disappears like puff Legacy gets destroyed Family gets hurt Courage is rare Courage in those who should be courageous Is rarer

a stupid old drunk, was promoted by daddy kavanaugh w a better job title “George W. Bush had plenty of opportunities to speak up. January 6th. The January 6th Committee. <its> return to power. Mostly silence. But now he’s stepping back into politics to help Republican senators get reelected?”

I'm wondering what his bestie Michelle Obama has to say about George W supporting the the Texas Pedo Protectors.

You are kidding? I hope this is a joke. Let's go straight to Weapons of Mass Destruction & see how that played out? He & Cheney (thankfully no longer a player) have a TON of bad shit to answer for.He betrayed the country & should have been held accountable, instead of kindly being put out to pasture

George W. Bush has always been a liar and anti-democratic. He loved military interventions even though he never served in combat or deploy overseas during his service. Bush (like trump) lied to start two wars - the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. Saddam Hussain didn't have weapons of mass destruction.

Why are you suprised that a bush is quite about a rebellion that ends in a coup?! Look into butlers rebellion and the only named conspirator, Prescott bush, gw’s grandfather…. Then this dad went to run the cia and take the presidency…. The bushes are by no means friends of democracy…

Adam, please, stop. A man who was selected by the "Supreme Court" and the political aparatchik does not believe in Democracy. Neither does one who blatantly lies to get his country into an endless war to enrich his wealth donors. You're faux naivety isn't cutting it.
