Oh it’s better, we moved in with her to be her caregivers in ‘23 and unless I want a divorce (and I don’t) I’m stuck here, at least for now. As you can imagine, the results of the election were not taken into consideration when this decision was made.

I’m right there with you and have cut off everyone else in my life who voted for or supports what is happening… but I left this decision up to my wife because it’s her mother. It could be a lot worse, sadly. I do like that it’s easy to stay informed on where MAGA is mentally (not great!) though.

I have frustrations w/Dems too but not on this. Trump won by 2.5 million votes & 11 million came from vets. Their votes helped ensure Dems had no power in DC. This is a R voters problem. Where are they? Oh, yeah - they’re still supporting Bone Spurs. If they want change, they can get on it.

Under DADT, LGBTQ service members were immorally but legally denied benefits for having served while they were supposed not to have existed (where are my pearls?). Trans people were legally allowed to serve under Biden and Obama. There's no justification for denial of benefits. It's illegal.

I'd be curious to see what the SQT scores are for these soldiers, sailors, etc that are being forced out for being trans, etc relative to what the military has always done with people under the QMP (?) program, which is to deny underperformers retirement pensions when they don't make rank.

I don't have a working knowledge of military retirement, so I don't know if this is legal or not. But I have a good sense of morality, and that sense tells me this is cruel, unjustified and evil.

Trans people were allowed to serve openly under Obama and Biden. Denying them their retirement benefits punishes them for their legal, open, welcomed service. That's an illegal denial of earned benefits.
