Sure, the buffalo bills have the records for losing the Super Bowl by the smallest margin to the Giants and the largest margin by the Cowboys. The commonality is that the Bills lost both games (+2 more - I still sad). The US is broken, we are no longer policy driven in our thinking as a whole.

But it was enough wasn't it? Americans supporting a man who simply wants to be a complete dictator. A bloody dictator...way to go Americans. We non Americans are as concerned as you folks. All our lives now are at more risk. Because YOU voted this bastard into power.....AGAIN!

"Lost by an inch or by a mile", at the end of the day = lost. I don't think it the messaging that went wrong. I think too many people simply didn't vote. Trump got all the votes he will ever get in his life. Next 4 years will show everyone who he really is: a little angry boy with no plans.

That almost makes the future feel worse. A bare majority of the voting population turn the country over to a Russian asset who's suffering from dementia and now we all have to suffer for it 👎🏾

Hope everyone enjoys the next 4 years of chaos, craziness, drama, hate, & division! Also, we all know recessions come under a Republican president, & it usually takes a Democratic president afterward to clean the mess up..... How soon folks forget that Obama got us out of the 2008 recession.

So..... A fifty year plan Multiple enemy countries infiltrating cooperating social medias Stacked Supreme Court Billionaires pouring in their money 1000's of churches breaking church/state barrier Co-opted news reporting ALL THAT - for a slim extra margin to get Trump in. Thats what it took.

At a glance, the trend of popular support for a President and party seems to be dropping significantly, to the extent now that it's a coin toss and nobody gets what they want

but he doesn't actually, is my point. a majority needs to fight like a majority. he's gonna have just a 2 member majority in House til at least April. If just 2 R's wanted to say f u to maga, Jeffries could be speaker, it's that close. Just saying he has no mandate, will probably lose House in 2026

Frankly, I believe that a sizable chunk of those "no-votes" are actually just uncounted (thrown in dumpsters, shredded, burned). Plus, there was a ton of voter suppression just before the "election." A lot doesn't add up with this one.

I knocked on a lot of doors this cycle, and honestly, a big chunk of people’s thoughts boiled down to, ‘Shit was cheaper four years ago.’ That’s it—no more thought than that.

Trump is easily fixated on"size" and a constant reminder that his"mandate" is non-existent will make his narcissistic brain want to explode.I think any journalist who writes a story about Trump should begin with: "Trump, who won the popular vote by one of the smallest margins in history.."

You can spin it however you want 312 electoral college, the popular vote, both houses, and the shift from Blue to Red in places like Cali/NY even Virginia is a landslide, your little chart shows how delusional the left thinking is and will only keep moving the needle to the Right.

The only problem with coming back to this argument is that it ignores the comparative insignificance of the popular vote versus the electoral college. It only takes one electoral college vote to award 100% of the power in our electoral system.

Total votes in Georgia jumped 250,087, 5.0%. Red counties had an average of 6.84% increase in votes. Blue had an average of 0.32% increase in votes. A large number of red counties saw rises in turnout from 9% to 25%. Is this indication that Musk’s voter lottery worked for Trump? Am I grasping?

Kamala got 48.4% of the vote. The total percentage of votes 3rd party candidates got is 1.7% = 50.1%. Trump got 76,917,038 votes; the number of votes against him were 77,000,979. My point is: more people didn't vote for Trump than did.

Hoover took it in 1928 but Roosevelt took it 35 points in the other direction by 1932. Let’s hope for that kind of shift after a 2nd round with TFG in 2028!

That he even won, no matter his lies and exaggeration, sickens me. The fact that his supporters can not even discuss his policies, their ignorance so apparent, sickens me. Going to be a long 4 years. We need to get to the midterms and crush it. 💙👍

This is the thing to focus on. It's obscene he won, but that only a little worse than the fact the race was even competitive. The GOP disqualified itself as a party just by nominating him. America isn't much worse because he won, only a few percent worse than we thought going in.

The Right has been advertising their brand of common sense since the 1970s. The left needs to get smarter about it. CA voters voted against outlawing slavery of prisoners. We need to educate ourselves.

This doesn't matter in Trumpworld. He's already repeating "landslide" and how he won all of his court cases in clear, provable and obvious contradiction of reality. Hell, he's still claiming Russian election interference never happened while the FBI has warrants out for the perps.

Yes, that can happen. It's probably unlikely that that many votes remain uncounted, alas. But there MIGHT be enough outstanding vote in, say, California to flip another House seat or two (a couple of races there have margins around 10k).

To those who sat out this election: your voice matters more than ever. Every vote shapes the future—on healthcare, wages, and the cost of living. Let’s learn from this and commit to being heard next time. Together, we can drive change and protect what matters most. #VoteForYourFuture

It only feels like a landslide because Trump was such a shitty candidate/person, and the feeling of how god awful neo-liberal democrats are at politics…they’re literally never going to win anything ever again.

I want all Americans to become aware of it and read it before Trump takes the oath on 20 January 2025. I want Trump to become aware that many of the people he conned have gotten wise and he has no mandate and as a co-conspirator has no business pardoning anyone for their 6 January 2021 activities.

Liked you on The View on 3 December and wondered why they do not discuss the Government's Motion for Immunity Determinations which is about as close to trial as Donald J Trump is likely to ever get on his being a primary orchestrator of the mob attack on the US Capitol and Congress on 6 January 2021

All of the early reports were that it WAS a landslide. Is that just the winner's trying to make sure it wasn't close. Or, is that just the media doing media sh*t? "...on of the closest in history" and still NO ONE on the left crying foul or declaring victory. Jan 6th will be peaceful too.

Definitely not a “ mandate” but does that matter? We may be among the generation that saw the end of democracy and total lack of commitment to climate change which could very well be the end of habitable environment. 🙁. I sure hope not but I have no faith the next administration shows promise.

I feel like it was a landslide over Harris because our base decided to sit the election out this time. I bet they're regretting that decision now. Thanks for the share. It was still useful information.

Yeah that’s just clutching at straws sadly. If you lose the Presidency, House, Senate and the popular vote. It’s a landslide. The Dems just need to learn to defeat the fear mongering so easily soaked up by idiots.
