I'm happy to announce the RetroTap will be releasing on September 3rd. RetroTap is a 9V, 5V power distribution system that powers up to 11 retro consoles, compatible with 45+. It replaces aging, bulky wall warts with a simplified, modern, central power solution. kytor.com/store/produc... /1

Key features: • Premium injection molded shell • Available custom-spec 18 AWG power cables • Auto resettable fuses on every output • Low-noise, filtered power • Polarity protected 9V input /2

I have been looking forward to getting one of these since you first announced it. Can you clarify one thing for me: the Operations Manual says the usb-c output can’t be used with scalers. The RT4K needs 5V2A, which is under the port 4A max. Why is it not suitable?

Analog AV should have a clean ground return path, the analog signals to scaler can return through the power system ground which can in some cases lead to small levels of audio hum. It won't damage devices, but it's not ideal. Scalers should have their own power supply.
